Well, the Khaki Field Mechanical 44mm was moderately priced. A few months ago, it wasn't unusual to find them new from Internet vendors in the $350-425 range. Now they all seem to be $450-550. Yow! The usual places like Amazon, Ashford, and Jomashop don't have any in stock. I'm glad I bought mine when I did.

X-Wind:

I'm really liking that X-Wind but I don't see one with that color dial anywhere on their site. I'm new to watches but I'm guessing they switch them around from year to year? Hopefully they bring that one back eventually.

On a related note, I was thinking of getting this as my 1st Hamilton. I wanted something simple that I could wear while I'm dressed down.

I can personally attest to the notion that Hamilton does cream dials very nicely.

I really like my Jazzmaster thin. It has a 2892 and is very slim like maybe 8mm. It does not have a seconds hand tho. So far it has been very good. I got mine off the forum.

With no lack of embarrassment, I admit I haven't pulled the trigger on a Hammy yet. Now if work comes thru with a Q3 bonus...
