The first Oris Jazz watch edition is dedicated to Andy Sheppard in 1996.

One of Britain’s foremost tenor and soprano saxophonists, Andy Sheppard has had a long and distinguished career, working with leading lights in the jazz world including Randy Brecker, Gil Evans, Carla Bley and George Russell. Keen to popularise jazz, he was also part of the first Western jazz group to play in Outer Mongolia.

Oris launched the first Jazz watch at the 1996 jazz festival, dedicated to the saxophonist and composer who constantly seeks out and explores new influences with unfailing instinct and style

Very cool finds James indeed.I like it in the cream face, but the black dial is more my taste.I wonder what size this piece was,as well as the other Jazz John Mclaughlin edition?

I LOVE all these old jazz LEs! This is by far my favorite - in black. Oris really needs to get back to the yellow accents.

Thanks TVDinner!
