Very nice.  How much?  These Velatura watches are one of the reasons I'm moving away from the 'TV' watches.  there is some really nice stuff coming from companies like Seiko and Citizen just to name two.

that is why I am posting all of the cool Citizen and Seiko watches I have been looking at in stores or online. Many are incredible.

This is a limited edition watch and the prices I have seen are around $2,000 (and up)

Awesome looking Seiko.  If I had this kind of money I would be looking at some Breitlings though......still impressive.

This watch really has presence.

The specs sound high end.

Probably worth every bit of $824

Now that's my kind of Seiko. My first watch that got me into collecting was a 1993 Seiko Kinetic. It was the first edition of the Kinetic line. This watch has run flawlessly for almost 17 years now. Seiko really does make fantastic/reliable timepieces.

I just want to make sure everyone knows that THIS PARTICULAR SEIKO IS OVER $2000 everywhere, INCLUDING on bodying.com, where it is currently out of stock.

see - http://www.bodying.com/seiko-velatura-limited-edition-srq001j1/watches/20473

this is one of the top of the top of the line limited models and very very exclusive and cool!

Pretty sick piece to be sure! I would need to be educated on the movement. I'm guessing it's a highly regarded one, given the cost of the watch.

I would pay $2k for it. I know that Seiko stands behind their watches. This one is probably one of the nicest Seikos I have ever seen.

Auto-chrono lists for $3800 but the Quartz version lists for $950. Quartz can be bought $595 if your lucky and has a cool diver's extension which is not on the Auto version

I really dig the new spring drive Ananta; its attantion to detail is worth every penny. This one's pretty sweet, too.

I was looking at these recently online and the 34J model was $3400 and the Spring drive is 6K.

This is NOT your father's orange monster.

I'd be very surprised if it was ever $824.

I have not seen the Ananta line in person. The sweep on a Spring Drive second hand is hypnotic. One cool thing I forgot, the Velatura auto chrono needs the pushers screwed down to operate.

The velatura line has quartz, kinetic, then kinetic direct drive then for the autos,6r15,6r20 and this new movement the 8r28.pricing for the quartz starts at about 350 for the yacht timer.the kinetic direct drive though will set you back about 700.00 to start.is the new chrono movement worth it? sure.seiko never does anything without alot of forethought. problem though is that theres only one small building with 20 watchmakers that can build and work on these movements.

I'm looking for one at this very moment.but steer clear of bodying.com. check the bbb.you pay them, they charge your card then say the item is backordered.they make you dispute the charge with your cc before they'll refund your money.and even though they never shipped the watch, you get refunded less shipping.
