The watches that we made for the NFL refs to use as their game timing devices are getting lots of screen time in the Giants/Bills game on CBS today.

LOL, although I'm probably the only person who knows the watch well enough to be able to spot it!

It's a bit tricky to get a good look at it, but with games where there are lots of penalties you get to see the watch quite a bit (but you still have to look closely!).

it's also getting some pretty good coverage right now in the Pats/Cowboys game....

:c

Sure!  I guess that would help you spot it if you know what it looks like....  We created fully custom software inside the watch, as well as the external design.  It's specifically designed for refs but also makes just a nice digital sports watch.

The NFL called last week to get all new ones made, since next year the contract switches from Reebok over to Nike.  Good for us!

I have seen those on FB, I always wonder if anyone notices them but me.

Of course, George, notices them.

I don't see them on the NFW web store. Are these for sale to the general public?

I think you can see them if you go to NFW community and then Georges Blog.

If you want to buy one just call him. They were $99.95 when they first came out, if I'm remembering correctly.

We made a few thousand of these ref watches and they're long gone by now.  However, we'll be making another batch of them next year, without the Reebok branding.

I'll have to tell my kid brother!!!  He is a HS football ref....and purchased one from from a fellow referee who has a cousin or an uncle ( I don't remember which) that is an NFL referee.  He loves his...!!!  Uses it also when he is an umpire/ref for soccer also.

Thanks! It looks  like we'll be making them again next year. The NFL called & said they'll be needing new ones since the on-field contract is shifting from Reebok to Nike next year...  So, even though this current version is all sold out, I'm pretty sure we'll be making them next year. Some collegiate conferences also want in on them too, which means we might end up making a few different color options for next (but remaining color-neutral since refs can't wear colors associated with any teams, hence the black & white).

Where can I get one of these watches.  I'm a college football official and this is the only watch that I've been able to find where the countdown can be incremented or decremented without starting over the countdown.  This makes it easy to adjust the countdown during timeouts.  Thanks in advance for your response!

I believe that info is out of date as it is from 2010, well before this thread.  Email George directly and find out about possible future availability.
