Several years ago (1996) I had a friend that was into pocket watches.  Since I am easily swayed of course I got into it also.  Back then I did not have the means to purchase very high quality pieces so I usually obtained good pieces with minor defects (case scratched or hairlines on dial to name a couple).  I'd like to share some pics of one of my favorite pieces.  This is a Coin silver pair care (still has several jewelers papers inside the case from servicing) Chain Fusee driven pocket watch.  As best I can tell from the hallmarks it was produced in London in 1836.  I hope you enjoy looking at it and I will post more of my collection later.

I'm assuming that the maker was Geo. Wilson and the company was Appleby.  I have found other watches and clocks online with this signature but, can't really locate any specific information.  Below is just a few more of my collection.  Most are American made between 1875 and 1910.  While looking for watches I found that "watch jewelry" was actually harder to come across.  Victorian dress fobs and chains are a big interest of mine.  I'll post some of those pics soon too.  To me, the biggest problem of collecting these is displaying them.  With wristwatches I get to wear them.  Oh well......I hope you like my show.
