Does anyone know of any good bed and breakfast places in New England, preferably Vermont? I am not going anytime soon, but I always wanted to go to one. Just wanna hop on Amtrak and go for a weekend.

Go to tripadvisor.com site. It is pretty good...

Stowe, VT is a nice place to visit!

Hey Scott, there are so many nice places in New England to visit and it looks as though there are already guys steering you in the right direction.

There is a place in the Smokey Mountains I know of.  Arnie & Linda's WatchFreek Bed & Breakfast.  Beautiful accomodations, views and wonderful activities and sights to see as well.  Best part about it ???   It's FREE !!!!!

Man!! Those two people don't have a clue !!!  :%:%:%:%

Speaking as my own travel agent you mighty want to ask Scott (Texas Tee) or Erik (four20). Scott was out that way over the summer on R&R and Erik lives around the corner from there.

my wife an i stayed at the Black Bear Inn for our honeymoon 6 1/2 yrs ago and it was wonderful. it's at Bolton Valley Ski Area in VT but very close to Stowe (you actually have to get off the highway at the exit for Stowe). we had our own hot tub on the deck for our room. Ben & Jerry's factory is on the way to Stowe and Burlington is about 45 mins away

My friend Captain Ken seconds Erik's selection.  Captain Ken and his lady friend travel there several times a year from Boston. Captain Ken states "a very charming Inn with great staff and amenities".
