I hate to travel to begin with and I prefer to travel in the good old USA when I do travel.  I see no reason to go to anyplace that hates Americans or where there is the possibility of terrorist activity.

No, I would not change my travel plans. In fact, it is probably on of the safest times to travel when we have a heightened alert status. That usually means tighter security.

Inside the good ol' US of A, no. Outside the country, hell yeah. We are hated out there, even countries that profess to be friendly to Americans hate us...and I can see why.

I'm not going anywhere near Mexico right not that much is sure with the drug war going on there. And I have no desire to go to any countries currently in a war, or always about to be in a war. There are enough other places I can pick with better odds of not seeing any violence or regular war/terrorism.

I never understand the people who choose to vacation for fun in some country that has a well known conflict or war currently going on. Crazy

Leaning both ways on this particular subject..

If traveling for business related purposes, then regardless of the terror threat, I'd need to follow through with the business at hand. However if traveling with my family, then I'd much rather not place my family in harms way..

You can see why? Well why then ?
Most of them do like us, it is a small vocal minority that hates us. A lot of them would love to get the hell out of there and be here.

If I had my daughter with me, I'd hesitate to go to a country where specific chatter existed.

If I were traveling alone or with someone as crazy as me . . . hell NO, I wouldn't change my plans. :)

In a word, yes.

Let what happened to Texas T be a warning.

While, according to the FBI, violent crime is down, statistically.

The violent crime that is happening is very violent.

terrorists=criminals, criminals=terrorists.

I'm always careful.

There are a lot of good people in this world its just a few that spoil it. Some in this country, The amount of money spent on bombs and war over the last number of years would have gone a long way in helping our own.

Your nearest city in the as you put it good ole USA is probably more dangerous than traveling to another country. I would not change my travel plans because I wouldn't make travel plans in the first place to go somewhere that I thought would even be an issue. People in the good ole USA die every day from violence, IGNORANCE IS BLISS, LIVE A LITTLE.

Hell yes if the information were specific to my mode of travel, departure or destination. There is a difference between steadfast and stupid. Dying would not "show them" anything and I think my wife and daughter would agree.
The reality is that there is not enough "security" to stop someone who is determined and willing to lose their life in order to cause pain to others.

Got way to many things to do yet and dying is not on the agenda.
