Here is a pretty informative (although dated) article put out by Hublot on how to identify a replica/fake Hublot Big Bang:

I figure, if I can afford a Hublot, I can afford getting it from an AD. Just sayin, but that's me.

I agree George, there are a lot of replicas out there and the best policy is "buyer beware" !

This thread is 2 or 3 years old I think the watch they show is even older. By now the counterfeits have vastly improved. IMO the article is not a good reference to go by today but I doubt they would show a near perfect fake on their site.

It is still good for existing fakes, which are certainly still in the marketplace and eBay.

Please feel free to find a new resource and post it up.

Hi all

To be honest, the fakes are getting so good that it is becoming harder to tell the difference from just a casual glance, which is what most people will get when they pass you by.

In truth is I would definitely buy a fake, not just because I can't afford the original but because I like the look of the watch and means less to me that I forked out $1k instead of $10k. Does it tell the time, does it look good on you? That's the criteria.

People who need to spend that kind of money just so that they can express their status have insecurity issues that the watch cannot solve.

IMHO of course.
