Opened up the wallet a bit this fine Sunday and this is the result. They only made 300 of these bad boys. 44mm Ref.3886

I can't stand buckles so will take the OEM strap off and replace with a beefy deployment something or other. Keeps it mint anyways. Any suggestions what might look good on it? Leather or bracelet for sure, no rubber or natos etc. It's a polished satin finish though so might be tough to match the finish with a bracelet unless it's something from the factory. And even then who knows.

Hi,

this is an old post but I can't resist. I own one of the 300 Double 24 watches and I am convinced that they have never been sold as copies. I have lived in Asia for many years and for a while I had the copy watch bug, yeah I am ashamed (I never bought one though) and I tried hard to get a copy of the original Airman (smallish model from the 6ties). They do exist but they are rare and I never got hold of one. In my search (markets in KL, Bangkok, China etc and on the Internet) I have never come across of any other model of Glycine that was sold a s copy, which makes sense as Glycine serves a niche market. I bought my Double 24 in KL even though KL is full of copy watches. By chance I had to have a small issue fixed at the Glycine factory (one of the outer dials was slipping) and the dealing with Glycine was amazing. Great company I would say.

PS: I have been hooked on 24 hours watches ever since. I keep idling through the internet and 2 watches have caught my eye. The SST 12 from Glycine (blue model) and Uno 24, which sadly comes with a Quartz movement. BUT: I have just come across a novelty and I could not resist (meaning I ordered one, which is supposed to arrive at my doorstep this weekend). Instead of a 24 hours concept this one turns it on its head. It is a single hand watch with the unique feature to go round the dial 4 times a day, hence it's called 'double speed'. i.e. you could call it a 6 hours watch... It's not cheap (2.500 Euros) but I believe that the price is decent. The manufacturer is tiny, only quality components are used and the watch is limited to 99 pieces. If you are interested to check it out: Neuhaus, Double Speed.

Enjoy everything life have to offer
Cheers
Axel
