OK, I know I have this SMOKING hot custom made 47mm mechanical pilot watch made by our own Rick aka CurrentTime. And I LOVE EVERYTHING about it.

BUT when I see the Hamilton Khaki Pilot watch I literally almost swoon. THIS IS THE HOTTEST LOOKING DIAL AND WATCH OVERALL I have seen in a while.
I love the hands, the numbers on the dial, the inner ring of numbers .... EVERYTHING
!

GREAT VIDEO ABOUT THIS WATCH -

LOL . . . I actually prefer the strap on this one.

It's a beautiful piece and probably will end up on my wrist some day. It's a great looking piece.

This one has shot to the top of my "want" list. But at $800-1000 I am going to have to save for this one...

It really is beautiful.

My only gripe is (and I love Hamiltons) the numbers, I believe, are applied steel and not luminous. So it has a traditional pilot look until it gets dark.

Not to steal your thunder but, if I can find a good deal on this I'd like to get it ,too.

I've seen prices under $500 for this.

I think $450 would be a tipping point.

Right now you could get an Aristo Pilot, same size, with a 2824-2 movement and a fully luminous dial on a strap for $439.

Granted, it's not a Hamilton, but it's still pretty nice.

A more traditional look.

But if the Hamilton was close in price I'd probably go for that one.

It has the 2836-2 movement, which I don't have.

Toe - that one is very nice and does have some similarities. It also has some incredible lum and the price is less as you mentioned.

But it does not have the day or date on the dial. And I really like the raised metal numbers. I think that makes the dial even cooler and classier -

From what I can find the lum is not that bad either overall. I am not someone who has to have incredible lum. It is not that big to me.

That one is also very nice Arnie, but again, no day or date on the dial. I love my custom pilot watch, but miss the date window or day/date windows. The Hamilton has it.
Also on my pilot watch, and on yours in the picture below, both have the little arrow image at or around the 12 position. On the Hamilton I like the upside down triangle there. To me it has a little bit of a dive watch feel on the dial in an obvious pilot watch design.

Now dont get me wrong - I LIKE EVERY pilot watch posted so far in this thread very much including yours and the one Toe posted. all very nice.

That is a nice watch also BUT not the same Hamilton model being discussed in this thread. Similar, but different size and different style dial, etc.

My OVERALL want list is actually ONLY 6 watches (including this one). And 3 of those 6 are basically grails for me and I will probably not get them for a long time. So only 3 realistic on my list. So not that many right now to be honest.

I would have to say that the IWC pilot is the hottest flieger made, After that, I would have to say that the Stowa Flieger Original would be next in line.

Really nice Hammy, but I've got to say for us watchfreeks that are wearing different watches everyday, it's refreshing to wind, set and put on a classic Fleiger with no day or date to have to asloset... If you're going to wear it everyday then that's different... Just sayin' :whatever:
