André Citroën was Dutch, his father emigrated to France. The name is originally spelled as Citroen, which means lemon. But lemons the cars were not :D

I must be just me but there's something about those SUVs I don't like. They are far too slick. It's like if they are trying to outbid each other in opulent luxury on vehicles that will never, ever go out on a dirt track. A bit like my dive watches that are >200 BAR water resistant :D

^^^ Ha!

I just read that this Singer Porsche, the first so far to reach auction, is expected to sell somewhere in the $800K to $1M range. I won't be bidding just yet, I'll wait for the next one in a more desirable color combo. ;-)

Me too, I don't like that orange at all! :D

Welcome to the forum with the most views. And yes, my own cars have always been in the (more than) mundane category :D I was once tempted to buy a second hand Fiat XR9 but it was far too expensive, not very practical and in the wet and harsh Dutch Summers :)D) a potential rust bucket. So much for becoming adventurous :D

In Indonesia you can find plenty Land Cruiser FJ43s. Most of them having been given a, eh, 'pimp', makeover I'm afraid :D Huge alloys, chrome, stickers, etc. It won't make you happy :D
