This probably isn't everyone's type of watch. Had just seen it earlier, and thought it was really interesting.

First the watch/movement is entirely Swiss made, with it being both assembled, and regulated right inside

Switzerland with no foreign parts. It has an automatic movement that has a 90 hour power reserve as a

result of it's unique escapement, and no regulator. The watch is even made of a highly anti-magnetic alloy

of copper, nickel, and zinc,(ARCAP) and is made up of only 51 parts. Price is said to be at an unbelievable

$135, or below.

The price range is perfect and the concept is innovative. These designs are not exactly for the watch enthusiasts, but as usual the market is much bigger than our little corner of it. I'm sure Swatch could move these into designs that sell across their entire line, which as we know is huge. I will keep an eye on these, I think we all be surprised where they popup in the future.

Interesting stuff guys right?! Was shocked when I saw it really. Especially after hearing that it was all

Swiss made, was a new kind of automatic, and might be $135 or less. ..The 90 hour power reserve seems

amazing as well with it. Will have to watch, and see if Swatch uses this movement in other watches, or

watch brands of their's too like Space says.:)

Well, I like the newness of it but let's be real here. It's a disposable auto made totally by machines that can be in any factory in the world, doing the same job, but because they are in Switzerland they are Swiss made watches.

Would I get one, no, not with the design of this watch itself, right now. Have fun getting a replacement strap for it.

If they put the movement into a more traditional watch, depends on the price.

The more I read about this new movement, the less interested I'm in it, and I was very exited to hear about this when they first made them public.

Time will tell.

I agree, but I am wondering more if they will phase out the cheap quartz movements for cheap auto's instead.

I'd be hard pressed to buy a Swatch anyway, they just aren't my style. I am intrigued by the business and manufacturing direction they are going with this though.

There are some negatives to this watch -- strap in particular as has been mentioned.

With all of that, I would be a big fan of having the ability to pick up a fashion auto watch that was not an investment.

I love something like a Cave Dweller as my Summer, short sleeved watch -- or an orange faced diver as my pop, attention grabbing watch -- but those are usually investments that I loose money on when I get bored and flip.

I'm sure that i'll keep flipping watches, but it would be pretty cool to have a couple of watches that were interesting but not worth enough to be seen as avenues to other watches.

Maybe my watch habit is uncommonly money detrimental, but I think there are others out there like me.

And for $135 there's some decent Seiko autos out there. But it's a different animal, so curiosity will be the first buyer.
