Please, this will only be for people in CONUS. Have fun!

That is a generous gesture for sure! I love Sottos so you can count me in.

I just found the forum while doing a search for info on a watch. A thread from here popped up on Google so after I read the posts I decided to join.

Nice of you to pay it forward weebee.

If I remember right, I found WatchFreeks because I was looking for info on doing Seiko modifications, and ended up registering after reading Andrema's thread on his 6309 build. I lurked on a lot of watch sites for a while, but the WatchFreeks community made me stick around.

Count me in! Thank you for your generosity!

I got interested in watches and wanted to find a forum. I had been here before while researching watches to buy and saw how nice it was here, much more of a community than a forum. So I came here.

I was looking for a forum with real content, exploring the usual fora and then TV Dinners posts, Spaceview, Caddy etc helped when a noob, as I goofed up a lot. Well, I come and go, but always return as so many here are really nice people. I also see a few on other forums selling or commenting but I think a forum is more than just a place to sell watches. You actually meet nice people, who do return your PMs and show interest in what you do rather than poke fun at inadvertent mis steps.
So, WB, the forum actually found me.

I found the forum while doing a search for a watch review many years ago. I lurked for many years because I always felt that my passion for watches may be seen as somewhat superficial as I had less interest in what was on the inside (movement), then what was on the outside (design function). As I continued to lurk, it became apparent what great community this is, and that it takes all kinds to make it complete...so here I am. :-)

Default My turn!! Sottomarina Mostro Giveaway!

weebee... This is very nice of you. I found this site over a year ago while researching a watch I was interested in purchasing. During a google search a review of that watch on this forum appeared. After I read this review I decided to lurk on the forum. After a month I felt comfortable with joining and pulled the trigger :-)Thanks again weebe.... PS the review help decided to not buy the watch... It was not that the review said the watch was bad but rather some of the points that were of interest to me were not good.

Oh my. Please count me in.
How did I find the forum? Gosh. I think I was finding reviews of the Ronda 5130(?) quartz movement before my first "expensive" watch purchase. Started to look around and was impressed with the level of niceness and watch knowledge of the kind folk here. Joined after lurking a few weeks. Have been having a blast since.

Very nice; and win or lose, thanks! I found watchfreeks while looking for info on micro divers, the existence of which I'd just discovered. Saw some great reviews from, Don, Mike and James that showed me this would be a good place to hang out. So I lurked for a while and then joined. Just as simple as that.

Great Giveaway! I certainly haven't posted a ton here but I am an avid (daily) stalker on the site. I love the photos that everyone posts (It's like the ultimate window shopping!)..

I found this site when I was dealing with an online auction and I had concerns that the watch I was bidding on might have been a fake (this was after I had the winning high bid).. Because of WF and everyone helping me with my concerns that I won a fake watch I was able to use the thread to dispute the transaction and I got my money back!

Good luck to everyone!

I was doing research on a watch that was left to me by my grandfather and found watchfreeks on a google search. I read posts and became intrigued to say the least. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and welcoming to help what is still a newbie it was fun. Cant get away now.
