Let's have some fun! I have a 2013 Rolex 12-month calendar in brand new condition to give away. A buddy of mine who works at Rolex's Dallas division gave it to me in December... and here it still sits. I think these go for around $100 - $150 in the secondary market (if you can find one), but I just want it to go to a good home of a watch enthusiast who will enjoy it for the next 9 months.

If you're interested, just respond with something funny. I'm looking for the best laugh. Maybe it's a story about being caught in an obsessive situation in regard to watches by your significant other. Perhaps a watch-related joke or funny sob story about why you "deserve" it. Try to keep it reasonably brief - if possible - perhaps under 250 words... although that's not a set rule. We'll end this contest three days from now, so let's hear what you've got.

I'll ship the calender free of charge to any winner living in the lower 48 United States. If you are elsewhere and don't mind paying actual shipping charges via Paypal, I'll be happy to get it to you. This is just for fun, but I know the winner will enjoy the prize. It's the kind of quality you would expect from Rolex.

Looking forward to it!

Dave

Dear Dave,
I write to as a poor, broke watchaholic. As I could never afford a Rolex your calander is the closest I will ever get.My wife has me under 24 hour a day watch guard. She has had me banned from Shop NBC, WOW, Ashford,Joma Shop and Watch Recon. She has made me miserable, dosent trust me.This calander would bring me much comfort, just like my Omega, Pam,Tudor BB,2 Breitlings, Seiko Spring Drive,Oris,3 Tourbillions,4 Invictas,Luminox,Citizen Blue Angel and Stolas Genoa have.Hey , I think I just figured why I am in trouble with her, thanks for your help.

Hey Dave,

I actually live in Richardson also.....I put Dallas up 'cause it just sounds better, and people know Dallas.....sshhh, don't tell anyone else.

If you decide you just want the calendar to go to someone close by you, you can just swing by and toss it out of your car window and give me a honk.......and a wave........or a finger......whatever the mood is at the time. :b

Here's a couple of good watch jokes:

.An old Italian Mafia Don is dying and he calls his grandson to his bed.
-"You lissin-a me. I wanna for you to taka my chrome plated 38 revolver so you will always remember me."
-"But grandpa, I really don"t like guns. How about you leave me your Rolex watch instead?"
-"Shuddup an lissin. Somma day you gonna runna da business, you gonna have a beautifula wife, lotsa money, a biga home and maybe a couple a bambinos. Somma day you gonna coma home and maybe find you wife inna bed with another man. Whadda you gonna do then......pointa to you watch and a say, TIME'S UP?"

Attention!
There are a lot of fake Chinese watches in Europe and USA nowadays.
They are decent quality and expensive. Made in Switzerland…

2 policemen are talking. One noticed that the second one is wearing a gold watch.
-"Wow. Got paycheck?"
-"Kind of..."
-"Oh, you locked up some Mafia Don?"
-"No, I let him go…"

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Just a bit of silliness for something I have that someone else may enjoy more. So here we have it:

* Big Orange (Jeff), I'm afraid if you get it, I might inadvertently be contributing to your divorce. But I am glad the thread could help you work through some issues.

* Texas Tea. Hmmmm.... I do like the idea of being able to fling the calendar out of the window of a moving vehicle and then flipping off the recipient. Although, you may not like the condition of it at that point.

* Cab Frank, an Invicta calendar? Wouldn't that be like a Weight Watchers Newcomers Swimsuit Edition? (Please, no hate PM's for that one. I'm just horsing around). :t

* ILiveWithWatches, sorry; there's just no such thing as a broke watch collector. His money is still there but simply tied up in timepieces.

* RB86, that last one was pretty good.

* Weebee, not a chance. I'm thinking your son is a teenager and would surely have the calendar covered witha Marilyn Manson poster in no time and still not know what day it is.

So having written all of that, congratulations to Big Orange on his official, 4-month old, Rolex dealer calendar. I found the reponse to be slightly humorous yet sincere. And I know an anonymous poster on the internet would never lie about his situation, right? Plus, you mentioned owning an Oris... so I'm way biased. (Sorry, I should have mentioned that in the initial post).

PM me your information and I'll get it shipped. Thanks to everyone for playing. Maybe next time I'll have something even better to offer like my 1986 Haley's Comet Swatch watch with the clear band. Now there's a gem.
