Default Advice / Feedback

Hi all,

I'm new to watches, new to the forum and looking for some advice

I'm looking to buy a watch around the 2k mark and have been doing a bit of research. I like the look of the Raymon Veil Freelancer but have read some negative feedback on the brand. Is this warranted or just opinion?

The other watch I like the look of is the Oris Greenwich Meantime Limited Edition.

What are people's thoughts on these two watches?

If anyone has any suggestions of other brands/models in that price region then I'd be happy to hear.

Thanks in advance

I think Raymond Weil is a well known and respected brand. I have owned a Raymond Weil Nabucco GMT for several years and it has performed flawlessly. In fact, it is the most accurate automatic in my collection. I would have no reservation about buying another RW in the future. I hope that helps a little bit.

No experience with Raymond Veil but I also know that they are good quality watches.

They are not as popular/sought after as other brands because they don't produce and sell as much as other brands but that doesn't mean that they are crap.
