Default Anybody ever heard of Watch Gang ???

I guess its like wine of the month club or Dollar shave club. Only this is a $29 a month watch club. They give away one Rolex a month to a lucky member. And they do vintage pieces too.
Check it out...

And so it did. Must have missed that one. My bad.
Anyway I do own a SO&CO watch. I paid $56 for it at the time. Its a fair homage of a Rolex President on leather. Nicely constructed. Wouldn't want one every month. But I do think the concept is neat. Especially for beginning collectors. Be cool to know you got a new one coming every month.

I was slightly tempted, it's not much of a commitment and a couple of folks posted interesting vintage watches. I remember a somewhat cool '70s Orient.

But new SO&CO stuff was overwhelmingly predominant.

New here, never heard of anything like that before. I would personally rather buy 1 watch I like every year or twice a year than have a $29 dollar POS every month that may not be to my liking.

What I do, I get to buy one nice watch a year. Then I can sell and replace some of the other stuff not really spending any more money out of pocket. Just kinda replacing as I get board of pieces.

I almost prefer the Watch-Gang Black level. Its $91.00 per month and they offer major brand name watches that are valued from $150.00- $500.00. Everyone I have seen who switched from the lower level program received an AirBlue model accompanied by a card stating AirBlue was February's brand partner for the month. I also saw a YouTube video of a fellow who received a blue1969 Rolex date just on a leather strap in his first month's box in the lower level program. There is also some sort of exchange program available between Watch-Gang members on their Facebook page who receive watches that are not to their liking for model, color or size reasons. Members each post a picture of what they received and an exchange can be made between members for something more to their liking. ☆enricosonic, I too saw the vintage Orient King Diver with a multi-color bezel.

You can also be put on the vintage list to get watches like that cool green dial Omega automatic. Can't believe the whiners talking like getting a used Rolex is a bad thing. Getting any Rolex that works for 29.95 plus shipping is alright with me.

Intriguing. Mixes watches with a gambling element. The "boss" would go nuts, though, if I subscribed to this as I doubt it would slow down my watch purchasing in the slightest.

Watch Gang?
Is this the group that "jacked" BaselWorld last year?
They did what the Blokes call a "Smash n Grab" and
stole a zillion dollars worth of watches.
Jus asking!!

Cool I'm a Watch Gang Black Member

I joined Watch Gang 3 months ago; I joined the "Black Membership" as I LOVE watches and wanted to get higher end brands that they are partnered with.

The first month I received an Egard Civil watch a black and red watch with about a 48mm case and while the watch is beautiful it is a little big for my taste. A great watch nonetheless, so as you can imagine I went to look it up to see if watch gang lived up to their promise of watches OVER what your membership cost per month. Sure enough there it is listed at $650 (see link below):
https://www.egardwatches.com/collect.../brigade-black
Have yet to wear this one, probably going to sell it, or maybe trade it with another member on their exchange website.

Now onto month two - I received a Citizen Eco Drive. A well known brand and very classic looks. The tag, still on the watch, list it at $325 now you can go find it a little cheaper on Amazon I'm sure, but still happy the watch is over my monthly subscription price. A great looking watch titanium casing in a steel gray with a taupe colored face paired with a tan leather band with an "ostrich skin" pattern. Overall I am happy again with this watch.

Month 3 - I just received it about 3 days ago. It is a Strumento Marino, an Italian diving watch. Haven't heard of them before, so again I did research:
http://www.strumentomarino.it/en/adm...nr-rs-181.html
That link is the exact watch I received and I'm happy with it, again. The silicone band was a little off putting at first, but it has grown on me and I actually like it a lot. It is my first silicone band watch, as all my others are leather or link bands. This one is listed at 299 euros, which equals about $340 US dollars. Again they have come through on their promise of a higher priced watch then the membership monthly fee.

Another cool thing they do is TAG Tuesdays, were they will go LIVE on facebook and give a code for a $100 Tag Watch. Now the catch here is you HAVE TO BE THE FASTEST TO ENTER the code they reveal when they go live, as they only give away ONE. A little gimmicky, but hey it is a cool idea. During Tag Tuesday they usually pair with another brand of watches and give you a HEAVY discount on the watch brand they pair with. I've gotten 2 watches this way, a Reign and Adee Kaye, which brings my total take to 5 watches in 3 months for just about $550 TOTAL (subscription and outside purchase through tag Tuesday). That's a pretty good deal on 5 watches that come to an MSRP total of $2915. That is MSRP which most people aren't paying for items these days, but that gives you an idea of the deals you can get. Now you're probably thinking well what are the actual retail prices on these watches and is this actually all worth it. My personal opinion is YES. I love watches and this was a very appealing subscription to me, it may not be for all of you, but it is one of those things that YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If you pay for the $30 membership, you're not going to get high end watches, or name brand. THEY CLEARLY state this on their website, so I don't like the people who are complaining about there $7 Japanese watch. Now I will agree that they shouldn't get junk, but don't whine about a cheap watch when you're paying a cheap price. If you want a good watch then upgrade to the Black, or Platinum membership. While they're way more expensive, they're worth it.

The last thing I know you ALL are curious about is the Rolex! Wow a FREE Rolex EVERY Friday, that's got to be way too good to be true. Well it isn't this is a LEGITIMATE giveaway and they do it EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY. There is no extra chances, or better odds for having the higher end subscription. Now the catch is that these are USED ROLEXES, NOT BRAND NEW! They are all "certified" though and it's best if you take them and get them authenticated and appraised just to be safe. Now that might seem off putting to you, but I imagine a used Rolex is better than no Rolex for most of you, as you are signed up for a monthly $30 - $275 subscription. I'm going to take that as you probably can't afford an $8000 plus dollar watch, like myself. Hahaha. =) Also Watch Gang will send the watches for cleaning and all before shipping it to you. It's actually a pretty long process and you DO have to fill out an I-9 as you are required to pay taxes on the watch, which kind of sucks, but not uncommon when you win high end prizes such as a car, watch, casino jackpot and etc. I bet you're wondering how I know all of this, well I happen to be the LUCKY WINNER of one of the Rolexes. I unfortunately do not have it yet, but as I've spoken back and forth with Sam, of watch gang, it will be on it's way this week. I have the shipment label and tracking number and look forward to seeing what style Rolex it is, as with the normal subscription it is a surprise. When they ship it they do insure it for you and you HAVE to be present to sign for the watch.

All in all if you love watches like me and don't want to pick one out, pay full retail or just want a surprise every month then SIGN UP! It's like a mini Christmas every single month and I love it!

Keep it real guys and I hope this helps!

Congrats and enjoy the Rolex. Please post pictures when it arrives as I am really curious as to what they give away for free. There is no Rolex like a free Rolex.

There is a Reddit thread on this.

It's hard to take a page long "Testimonial" seriously when the poster only has one post. It looks like boilerplate advertising to me. (Sorry BJB23)

One reviewer stated that the lower level watches are mostly quartz anyway.

I guess we'll see if the Rolex shows up. Still your decision whether you spend the money to join. I won't. I have to many watches already and could care less about having a powerball's chance at winning a Rolex. So I'll play along.
