Does anybody know about specific a website where people actually trade Watches? I have a Beautiful Oris TT1 Chronograph that I bought early on in my watch collecting that just sits in the winder. I'd like to swap it for a stainless steel equal quality watch that I can actually wear on duty at work. I dunno, figured this would be the place to ask.
This forum would be an option. I would take better photos of your watch, list condition etc (more info the better) and what you are looking for. You need to have 50 posts to start a thread in the forum here.
I really like to trade. From what I see here it is a rubber strap and I'm not a fan of those at all. But in order to get some traders to be interested you need to take better pictures, give the other traders some idea of what you are looking for in return, including value, and what you have (packaging, warranty, extra straps, etc.). Then you might get some action on it.
I actually look for trades by searching forums and watch recon etc.. Using FSOT in search
Lately most are not common sense so be careful.
I'm actually attracted to the FSOT as it used to mean a possible deal. Most of my buys are from such deals.
I also suggest a trade of plain for sale ads, offer some sweetener. I just checked and the last 5 deals involved a trade of one or more watches. I tend to upgrade though as a plan.
Also look for three way deals. I scored a deal with two others in th forum. It started out with a request that I parlayed with another guy on eBay who was also a member here.
Look forward to see your pictures. Send me a set. I may have something for you
Win win situation is a motto.
