Default Been looking for the silver Bluering forever

Bad timing, plus the premium price for this extremely rare bird make it impossible for me to jump. Perhaps someone else has room in their WIS budget? Only the blue and silver dials came with the ETA 2824. Asking price is $1000....

Great watch! Too much for me though.

Stupid price. I liked the Bluering I owned, but is a $500 watch for me. The bracelet did not match the case, the crown action was rough, and the bezel movement wasn't that good. Other than that it was a great watch.

$500 makes much more sense.

Agreed. However I would pay as high as $700, considering the rarity and condition. I'm pretty sure that I've read that there are only 100 silver Bluerings in existence. Maybe less? Anyone know for sure?

Maybe it will go down a little. It is a fantastic looking watch. It's more of a how bad do you want it thing though. I'm not sure how much dial color on a micro increases value otherwise. I just read elsewhere that other models/colors had the Seiko 6r15 instead of the 2824, and I suppose that makes a price difference. If so, I'd get the 6r15, but then it's not the color you want.

Yes, I believe they split production on the movements of the black versions - some got Seiko movements, and others the Miyota. I'm pretty sure the blue and silver all got ETA's. The other variant to the whole Bluering line was that some are bead blasted and some are brushed.

Either way, the silver (IMHO) is by far the most desirable, and I would prefer brushed over blasted. Just for maintenance reasons.

I've been after this watch for several years, on high recommendation from an old friend (Patrick H).

Frank is right - how bad do I want it? Not $1K bad, that's for sure.

In negotiation with the seller. I think he'll take my offer. If not tonight - soon. He's somewhat desperate to sell. He's already lowered his price on the listing $100.

I hope you get it! Let us know. I was thinking that price was definitely negotiable too.

Also, just a thought, if it comes down to a small difference, and you've been wanting it for a long time, go for it. I'm sure you've earned it.
Separate, and off topic, how do you like your Turtle? They have recently climbed to the top of my wish list.

Thanks Frank - appreciate the encouragement Bro.

I sold my black Turtle, but I still have the PADI and love it. Don't wear a whole lot in a 22 watch rotation, but I had it on yesterday for a bit. Just a gorgeous piece with amazing colors.

Yes, I think so. I'll have to either find our take a pic and either post here or send to you. It's an outstanding piece, and it can be had now for quite a bit less than I paid ( $375?)
