Now that is a sweet piece. Not liking the two tone or the wimpy bracelet but a nice piece even for a quartz.

One of these days I'll get my Seiko Moon Phase watch back from my dad. It's unlike any I've seen....just really sweet looking. The case looks like its made of pewter...it's that dark gray color....the bezel is very narrow...and is 18k gold. The dial is also the pewter color and is a master calander with moon phase...all the sub dials are trimmed in 18k gold. The bracelet was also the pewter color with small center links that were 18k gold. I think the bracelet is gone....as my dad replaced it with a black leather strap. I had put the watch up because one of the center links had broken, and at that time gold was almost a gazillon dollars an ounce and I couldn't afford to have it fixed. My parents found it in some of my stuff when I moved to NO in 1996...and my dad just kept it for himself!!! Since I sent him a watch I purchased in NYC for his 78th bday....he doesn't wear it anymore and my mom said the next time we came to El Paso, I could pick it up.

My first time on a forum!! I have owned since new a 7A48-7000T. It's one of my favorite watches. It runs perfectly except for one reoccurring problem. When I used the timer, sometimes it will not reset all the way to 0. Especially the 30 minute dial. I have had a new crystal installed and the watch was customized by the jeweler years ago to look much better with a leather band... Metal bands cause my wrist to break out.

The watch has never been cleaned. Just wondering if the problematic dial reset is caused by not ever being serviced?

I even found the original instruction book for this particular watch!!!

welcome to the forum TrapperJim :c

i would imagine a good servicing would be a start esp. if you've had the watch longer than 4 yrs.

Do you have the manual for this watch? I need know how to set the moon phase and also how to have the stop watch flyback and how to set the point at which the stop watch hand rests, like at zero. Can you help me? Bill
