My wife has a Ceramica XS Jubile, I have a Ceramica XL Cronograph 538.0824.3.015.
I bought my wife's watch, new, in 2008, from Romania. In 2012, the mechanism broke down. 200 euro for the mechanism.
Mine was bought new in 2008 also, from USA. The mechanism broke down also in 2012. 500 euro repair costs, both mechanism and case (the window cracked in 2009 and was not repaired by the guarantee)
It is impardonnable for these kind of watches to last only a few years. I have a Seiko from 2002, bought from Paris, and it works perfectly. It costed 400 euro at that time. Each Rado I bough was 2.000 euro. Rado does not worth the money, it is a non reliable watch.
How did the "window" crack..... I doubt it cracked all on its own. So if you did that then the its not covered under the warranty.
Sounds like what they sold you was a full service on each watch. This is pretty standard on any watch worth something when you send them back to the manufacturer. Judging by your first statement on the "window" cracking it sounds as if you are pretty hard on the watch.
Give it some time and your Seiko will need to be serviced too.

Another question.
Rado are made of ceramic.
Not watches to be used hard.
More of a dress luxury watch,
Seiko is made to take a beating.
How hard were you on these watches?
The window cracked after my 1 year old son, at that time in 2009, stepped on my wrist. The crack was very thin. I did not asked for the guarantee because the crack was my fault.
But the mechanism broke down in 2012. And it was not because of the crack. My wife's watch had no cracks and also broke down out of the blue in 2012.
Neither of us ever used the watch in shower, at the pool etc. The watches were very good maintained.
The way this sentence was worded it seemed like you expected it to be warrantied.
I never stated it would "break down" because of the crack.
Please give us a little more infot o go off of like what they had to do and what they found was the problem.
Im planning on picking up a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chrono very soon and the service cost will be when it needs service between $1500 and $2000. Its the price you pay to have a nicer watch.
At one time I thought Rado was the watch to buy and wear. I owned several several Rado watches and had twice as many problems. I really trashed one while loading luggage in my car. I barely hit it against the lip of the trunk and it shattered like it was made of ice. I got it fixed because it was a gift from my GF at the time. It never seemed to keep time all that well. I ended up trading a couple Rado watches in for a different brand. Never wanted to own another one since.

It was so long ago, 1990 something 20 years ago at least, I don't remember what exact models they were and back then Digital Cameras weren't even out yet so I rarely took pics of anything. I can tell you they were rectangle face Ceramica watches. One was all black one was black with gold trim. Both said Jubile on the face. The other was a Ceramica that also had a rectangular face but the band tapered. The last was a round one I think it was another Ceramica. It was all black as well with some gold on the face. I am almost positive I bought all of them at EB Horn in Boston. Even though I was friends with a lot of jewlers and ever the guy I worked for in the jewelers building didn't sell them. I do not think I was familiar with Alpha Omega at the time.
Unfortunately, no for the moment. I've sent mine for repair in Barcelona (Spain) but the cost resulted the same, so I will receive it back hopefully on Friday and will repair it locally. My wife is wearing her watch (I've just repaired it yesterday), I will post some pictures with it later today when she will arrive home.
Sorry to hear your bad luck, but your next watch should be a Rolex or Omega because they make their own mechanism. Yes they are many other companies that make their own mechanism and responsible for the whole watch. Just my two cents, hopefully your will post often here. Welcome.:b
