Default Gulfmaster My review and thoughts..

I've owned a lot of G-Shocks and Casio's since the 70's. They were all basically perfect functional watches. Then I moved on to Stainless and Valjoux watches. Now being old and not being able to see the dials on most watches, legibility and, at a glance readability is key. I like the G-shocks that have the light, great for the movies, and the auto-on feature is pretty cool.
The Gulfmaster I bought has finally came down to $250. which for the included technology is a bargain. It is comfortably wearable and will take a drop in the shower without anything happening to it. It has almost every technological option Casio offers. And weighs nothing....I've read about other's usage of each function and all functions basically work perfectly as advertised and boasted. Solar panels charge quickly, Atomic calibration works, multi-function crown is solid and functions perfectly. Casio even made a softer yet just as durable strap. Altimeter, compass, barometer, tide, all perform flawlessly......Under the correct conditons mind you......SO my opinion is that this is one of their best models to date.....They have the metal ones now but they are too expensive for me. I'll get a Breitling if I decide to spend that much.....This I can wear on my job daily and not care or worry about jarring or scratching it.......(Shock-proof-ness). If you are one that likes wrist-presence in a watch, this fills that bill as well.......

Great write-up, thanks OP! I have smaller wrists and so never really got into G-Shocks or similar large watches...but this one looks very nice indeed! I particularly like the colour combinations...very well done
