I think that Invite makes a nice watch in the $100 range with many options and varieties to choose from, too. I just don't see spending much more than that on one (anymore). My days of being hypnotized by ShopnNBC sales folks are long over thankfully.

I get the whole "buyer beware" "Invicta is crap" yada-yada-yada...but there are some people who like them for what they are. And honestly, I can't wear a 39-43mm watch of any brand that doesn't look like a kids watch on my 8 1/4 wrist. I'm not spending thousands or really even hundreds on their watches, but I like them, they fit "MY" wrist, look great and have lasted me for years. And remember, not all of us can afford some of the watches you all say we should buy. Just my 1 1/2 cents. . Said in love...

It is sad that invicta now makes so many models many mostly cheap and ridiculously over designed watches. Some just plain and others ugly. Many are just too large to be taken seriously. What I am really sorry to hear is how they are cutting corners on Everything pertaining to the watch inside and out. Having said that they still make some select models that are simply stunning and miles ahead of all the other competition. I would hate to see them cut corners on these premium high quality high cost watches.

My local Kohl's Department store still sells the shite outta them & i still make ten bucks a piece sizing them. Ten bucks for less than five min. work. Yes, they're crap but so are Anne Klein and Michael Kors. it's a fashion thing not a quality timepiece thing.

As true as what the OP says, Invicta DOES sell. I've got 4 of them, and they're all powered by proven and reliable movements. I like the Invictas I own, but other folks mileage might vary.

Bottomline? If you don't like them, don't buy them!

45mm is my sweet spot as well.... but I do also have the 50mm SAN III COSC swiss auto in my collection- it's Invicta's most popular model line to date and it definitely garners attention when I wear it.

Walmart is a ***** palace, an organization that sucks the life out of its employees and tax dollars out of the neighborhoods it takes root and festers in. Invicta isn't much better; but I'll buy an Invicta long before I ever set foot in a Walmart.

I would like to add the observation that I for one think that having watches presented on TV is helpful, and if not helpful, then entertaining. Seeing a one dimensional picture of a watch online is just not as good as seeing a three dimensional view of a watch when presented from several different camera angles. Of course it's a given that as the watch is being presented some of the sales folks tend to mix good instructive watch info with a bit of shall we say colorful sales pitch. In any event I would love to see all manner of watch makers present their watches on TV.

However my main point is - has anyone else noticed that years ago several watchmakers took turns for an hour or two presenting their watches on TV, including as I recall one German watch maker with a heavy accent, but something happened because for the last couple of years the presence of all those other watch makers that posed competition for Invicta all but disappeared from public view?

Am I the only one that thinks that that development is very odd? I have a theory but I'll keep it to myself.
